Investigating the impact of using renewable energy sources onincreasing the profit of the distribution system operator andimproving reliability in independent microgrids

The use of distributed production in island form and the use ofrenewable resources is one of the new methods in the exploitation ofpower systems. The use of distributed generation units in microgridscan have significant benefits in reducing losses and improving thevoltage profile in distribution networks. On the other hand, improvingthe reliability of these resources in independent microgrids is anecessary and necessary thing that improves the conditions. In thisarticle, a new framework based on Monte Carlo simulation is presentedfor calculating reliability indicators in independent microgrids, and it isshown that the improvement of consumption-based indicators increasesthe user's profit and satisfaction. In this article, the proposed method isapplied on an experimental IEEE۳۴ distribution network for theefficiency of this method.
