Abstract:

In one of Iranian field, production layers under Asmari formation are called Bangestan Reservoirs which contains Asphaltic oil. In this reservoir theasphaltene precipitation make serious problems notonly in the vicinity but also in the sand face of the production wells as for it may shut the wells for less than a year of production period. Hence simulation of this reservoir and afterward optimized selection of oil recovery mechanisms to get rid of this phenomenonbecomes crucial. Win Prop Software has been utilized for observing reservoir fluid behavior in different conditions of pressure and temperature.Accuracy of model is assessed according to regressions on parameters of heavy oil fractions compared to Research Institute of Petroleum Industry(RIPI) experimental data. To model the naturally fractured reservoir, the production history, well testing data and PLT results of a well which has largedrainage area is used in a single well model. Finally effect of xylene injection and acidizing on improving permeability is compared by use of Permeability Reduction Factor concept.
