Dimensions of fatigue in hospital nurses abstract

The nursing profession is physically and mentally demanding. Fatigue in nurses is common and unavoidable, and it has many negative consequences for both nurses and patients, and it is a costly consequence for healthcare organizations. Therefore, one of the important aspects of nursing health and safety is that it has an adverse effect on client satisfaction and patient and nurse safety, and if it is not controlled, the health of nurses will deteriorate and organizations will face social and economic problems, and without a doubt, The quality of patient care will be affected. Therefore, reducing work fatigue in nurses is very important. Since the fatigue of nurses is a multidimensional issue, by knowing its dimensions, effective solutions can be provided to prevent and reduce fatigue. This study investigates different dimensions of nurses' fatigue, including chronic fatigue, acute fatigue, physical fatigue, mental fatigue, compassion fatigue, and alarm fatigue. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of investigating the dimensions of nurses' fatigue.
