The effect of green concrete composition changes on its properties and performance, a review abstract
In the past decade, global warming has received special attention due to its very negative effects on the environment. One of the main reasons for global warming is greenhouse gas emissions. The production of concrete in the traditional way leads to the formation of carbon dioxide. Replacing cement with some of the waste materials in the concrete production process can minimize CO2 emissions. On the other hand, natural aggregates are consumed. Therefore, replacing them in concrete with some waste materials not only can reduce the destructive environmental effects but also help to conserve natural resources. In this research, the changes that have been made to the concrete to turn it into green concrete have been investigated. It has been discussed that by making changes in the composition of concrete, not only the problem of disposal of some wastes is solved, but also the obtained concrete shows much better quality than traditional concretes.
