A novel pullulan hard capsule formulation: Investigation of gelling and sequestering agents on capsule properties

In this research study, a new formulation of pullulan hard capsules has been introduced for the first time. In order to investigate and figure out the crucial and important parameters affecting the capsule formulation, various tests and evaluations such as the ratio of the gelling agent to the salt, the effect of the surfactant, viscosity and Sequestering agent in the formulation have been investigated. The gelling agent used in the formulation is kappa carrageenan. In order to activate the aforementioned gelling agent, it is necessary to provide a temperature of ۷۰ ۰C. It is necessary to explain that the viscosity of the solution decreases with increasing temperature.
