Abstract:
The population of Alzheimer's patients has suffered a lot due to the direct effects of the virus in the early stages of the Covid-۱۹ pandemic. Viruses can damage neurons and cause dysfunction such as neurotransmitter release, death by cell lysis or induction of apoptosis, or indirectly activate the immune response against infected cells, thereby initiating a neurodegenerative process. Covid-۱۹, which leads to the spread of respiratory disease from mild to fatal, has caused many critically ill patients to need mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy as a life-saving strategy. In people with the syndrome (SARS-CoV-۲), viral infection can have long-term consequences such as dementia and neurodegenerative diseases. SARS-CoV-۲ infection occurs with more severe symptoms and worse outcomes in older people who have comorbidities such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, obesity, and diabetes. In this article, among the injuries related to covid-۱۹, including respiratory and cardiovascular problems, problems related to nervous structures have been discussed
