Abstract:

Background and Objective: In order to investigate infectious and metabolic diseases in birds, the studyof histology is of great importance because of the occurrence of changes in degeneration and swelling inthis organ. One of the poisonings observed in birds is the consumption of food contaminated withCadmium, which can cause a decrease in the body's defense power, a drop in production, and even deathin the flock. Therefore, the aim of this research is to investigate the inhibitory effect of Bactogen ®probiotics containing Bacillus subtilis bacteria on liver histomorphometry of partridges with cadmiumpoisoning.methods: In this research, ۱۶۰ partridges were used in a completely randomized block design in fourgroups. The four groups under study, respectively, include a control group receiving a normal diet and thefirst treatment group, receiving Bactogen ® probiotics, the second treatment group, receiving cadmium +Bactogen ® probiotics, and the third treatment group, receiving ration impregnated with They werecadmium. After ۵ weeks, partridges were killed and liver samples were taken for histological procedures. The livers were fixed in ۱۰% formalin and then entered the passage stages and preparation of tissuesections. After staining with Hematoxylin-Eosin (H&E), the liver tissues were evaluated for fattychanges, necrosis of liver cells, hyperemia, and infiltration of white blood cells. Results: The results of this study showed that Bactogen ® probiotics cause a significant improvement(P˂۰.۰۵) in the parameters of liver cell necrosis, hyperemia, and white blood cell infiltration in the quailsof the group receiving cadmium + probiotic ratio compared to the group receiving the ration to cadmium. Conclusion: In this research, it can be concluded that the use of Bactogen ® probiotics will play animportant role in improving liver tissue parameters in cadmium-poisoned partridges.
