Abstract:
Destruction to natural resources and the environment can affect the food-security conditions. Sustainable management of natural resources and the elimination of unsustainable patterns of food consumption and production is very importance. The main purpose of this descriptive-analytical study is assessing the concept of food-security strategies in the reducing of environmental risks and conservation of natural resources. We review the literature on this topic from a global perspective. This paper examines Sustainable diets leading to food and nutrition security and have low environmental impacts. Green growth strategies and carbon emissions reduction policies, organic farming, Biotechnology and food irradiation are examples of Solutions in providing food security and protecting the environment that were discussed. This study is important in providing decision makers and interested stakeholders with a detailed assessment of food security impacts and adaptation strategies geared towards improved environmental protection. Interdisciplinary and Collaborative approaches have already been initiated to better understand the local food system but further intervention research integrating human health, food security, and the environment is still needed.
