Abstract:

There are generally three generations of emitters; prompt fluorescent emitters of the first generation and phosphorescent emitters of the second generation couldachieve a maximum internal quantum efficiency (IQE) of ۲۵% and ۱۰۰%, respectively Thioxanthenone has a good photoluminescence quantum yield and asufficiently high triplet. It absorbs the light in spectrum’s visible region, and exhibits the fluorescence and phosphorescence, which can be useful for determining and characterizing photophysical properties. Recently, thioxanthenone has become an attractive building block in phosphorescent and TADF emitters due to its outstanding electron acceptance and transporting ability. In this study, a dye containing a thioxanthenone derivative as an acceptor moiety was designed and synthesized. The photoluminescence spectra (PL) of the hammered dye was shifted and the dye was mechanochromic. The ionization potential (IP) of the spin-coated dye on the fluorine-tin oxide film was -۵.۴۹ eV. In addition, a maximum external quantum efficiency of ۴.۱۹% was achieved.
