Abstract:

In the era of nanoscience, where all devices and technologies are moving towards smaller and smaller size with improved properties, catalysis is an important application field. In the reviews in this article, we try to summarize the reported data for the use of nano-sized catalysts because they are very useful for us in our daily life. The improvement of catalytic properties due to reduced catalyst size to the nanoscale is discussed here. A solid base nanocatalyst was prepared by ZrO۲ loaded with C۴H۴۰۶HK and investigated for transesterification. The production of soybean oil with methanol into biodiesel nanocatalyst was determined by means of XRD, FTIR, TEM, TGA, N۲ adsorption-desorption and Hammett index measurements.The TEM image showed that the nanocatalyst had granular and porous structures with particle sizes of ۱۰-۴۰ nm. The nanocatalyst had a longer lifetime and maintained stable activity after use for five separate effects of methanol-to- oil molar ratio, reaction temperature, Nanocut- the amount of analyte and the reaction timewere investigated. The experimental results showed that the ratio of ۱.۱۶ M methanol to oil, ۶.۰% catalyst, -۶۰ C reaction temperature and ۲.۰ hours reaction time gave the best results and the biodiesel yield was ۹۸.۰۳%. Biodiesel production has a positive effect on the exploitation and production of agricultural and forest products.
