Investigating sociological factors affecting drug use among women referringto Iranshahr NA Center

Background: Women are considered as one of the social actors in the society, who are exposed tomany phenomena and social issues like other strata and social classes. The purpose of this researchis to investigate the sociological factors affecting drug use among women (case study: womenreferring to NA center in Iranshahr).Methods: The survey research method was descriptive-correlation in nature and was conducted inthe field. The statistical population of all women referring to the NA center in Iranshahr was about۹۲ people, who were selected as the sample size by census method. Demographic questionnaireand social factors affecting drug use designed by the researcher were used to collect information.In the analysis, descriptive statistics including (frequency, percentage, average) and inferentialstatistics including Anova, Pearson and multivariate regression were used.Results: The obtained results showed that sociological factors have a significant effect onwomen"s drug use, and there is a direct but inverse relationship in the dimension of religiosity.Conclusion: Considering that women are the most important segment of society and family, it isrecommended that we provide these people with self-knowledge and self-awareness training anduse this strategy to prevent women from becoming addicted.
