Cu (II)-Guanine-SBA-15 nanocatalyst for the synthesis of phenazines and investigation of their antimicrobial behavior abstract
A one-pot, two-step, four-component synthesis of benzo[c]pyrano[3,2-a]phenazin derivatives has been don by reaction between 2-hydroxy-1,4- naphthoquinone, benzene-1,2-diamine, carbonyl compounds and alkylmalonates using cupper (II) ions complex of guanine (2-amino-1H- purin-6(9H)-one) supported into SBA-15 channels (Cu -guanine-SBA-15) as an efficient, green and heterogeneous catalyst in PEG at 120°C. The desired products were obtained in good to excellent yields. In this sense, simple preparation of the catalyst from the commercially available materials, simple operation, high catalytic activity, short reaction times, high yields and the use of green reaction conditions in the mentioned organic synthesis are the most significant advantages of this protocol.
