Abstract:
Comparative and regression analysis of length-weight relationship of Oreochromis niloticus (Linneaus, ۱۷۸۵) for a period of six months from October ۲۰۲۰ to March ۲۰۲۱, Nile River, Bubungu, Eastern region, Uganda, East Africa, (۰°۲۳'۳۱.۹۲"N ۳۳°۱۳'۵۱.۹۵"E) (Fig ۱). The slope value (b) estimated for O. niloticus of both sexes was found to be ۳.۴۱۷۱. The regression equations derived for both sexes was estimated Log W=۳.۴۱۷۱+۰.۱۷۷۲ Log L. In spite of the fact that O. niloticus predetermined well in the wild collection of fish, there was a good statistical difference in their health and general wellbeing. The correlation coefficient was found to be (p<۰.۰۱). The significant difference between sexes of the species "F" value was at ۱% level. The b value differed from the ideal cube law of "۳" as is with the case of LWR studied in this region. The slope value was compared to Indo-Pacific regions.
