Abstract:
The nanowires are used to increase light trapping and decrease the reflection of solar cells. The dimensions and doping are two effective parameters for the enhancement of solar cells. The dimensions are divided into the length and radius of nanowires and the thickness of layers. In this research, all of these parameters are investigated simultaneously to achieve the most optimal silicon nanowire. Because the different parts of the device have been changed and for each change, a new sample was needed, the simulation has been used to reduce expenditures and time of tests. Finally, the most optimal nanowire has been achieved with a length of ۱ (um), a radius of ۱۵۰ (nm), a thickness of p and i-type layer of ۵ (nm) and ۱۰ (nm), and the doping scale of ۱۰۱۵ and ۱۰۱۸ for n and p-type silicon.
