The high penetration of DC loads into the grid has increased the attention of researchers to solve the issues in DC microgrids. DC microgrids generally include a number of Distributed Generation Units (DGUs), connected to electrical loads through DC power lines. Voltage magnitudes in different nodes determines the current sharing in the DC microgrids. In other words, there is an interaction between voltage regulations and current sharing. In this manuscript we propose a distributed control strategy and exploit a communication network to achieve proportional current sharing. In our proposed controller, voltage regulation is achieved by an individual proportional controller which requires a node to be considered as a slag node equipped with a PI controller. First, we will investigate the stability of the proposed control scheme and its capability to achieve current sharing. Next, we will compare our results against other controllers in the literature and will show that our structure will guarantees better reference voltage tracking based on the slag node voltage. Finally we will show that the deviation of the node voltages from predefined voltagevalues will remain bounded.
