Abstract:

In the present work, we synthesized Schiff base complex of copper coated on epoxy modified Fe۳O۴ [Fe۳O۴@SiO۲@GPTMS/Schiff base-Cu(II)] as a green and recyclable nanocatalyst. Then, fully characterized by FT-IR, FE-SEM, VSM, PXRD, EDX, TGA and ICP analysis. The catalytic activity was successfully investigated in the Knoevenagel condensation through malononitrile and various aldehydes in H۲O as green solvent at room temperature. Short reaction time, magnetic recoverability of the catalyst, eco-friendly properties, easy work-up are the major advantages of the represented investigation.
