Exact Solution for Heat Conduction Problem of a Hollow Circular Membrane abstract
In this paper, a heat conduction problem of a hollow circular membrane, as a partial differential equation, with non-homogeneous equation and boundary is solved. Solving this problem, generalized finite Hankel transform is applied and exact solution obtained. Different conditions for case studies are considered. Then with finite element method, as a numerical approach, the results of analytical solution are verified by numerical ones. The results show that this method has a good capability of solving heat conduction problems as an exact solution method
