Synthesis of silver (II) oxide (AgO) nanowires with electrochemical method abstract

The silver (II) oxide (AgO) nanowires were prepared by anodizing silver (Ag) nanoparticle tablet. Afterwards, AgO nanowires and silver nanoparticles were studied using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. In a successful electrochemical anodization reaction, silver oxide nanowires with 1.253 ± 0.148 μm average length-size were synthesized, which were 8.7 times larger than silver base nanowires
