Chitosan/Ag @ Chlorhexidine as Promising Nanocomposite: Physiochemical Characterization and Ex-vivo Antibacterial Activity

The current study highlighted the preparation of Drug loaded nanoparticles and their successful characterization. The physiochemical characterization includes SEM, XRD, and EDX studies.XRD study shows that the drug is in crystalline form however after loading of drug into NPs the physical state of the drug changes and possesses good solubility as compared to crystalline form. Antimicrobial Assay results and Ex vivo permeation study shows that application nanoparticles impregnated bandages could be able to minimize wound site infections.
