Abstract:

An efficient one-pot synthesis of ۲-aryl-۵-methyl-۲,۳-dihydro-۱H-۳-pyrazolones derivatives by a simple, atom-economical and four-component sequential reaction of phenyl hydrazine, methyl acetoacetate, aromatic aldehydes and β-naphthol in the presence of chlorosulfonic acid supported Piperidine-۴-carboxylic acid (PPCA) functionalized Fe۳O۴ nanoparticles (Nano Fe۳O۴-PPCA) as a more robust and efficient catalyst free in good to excellent yields is reported. ۲-aryl-۵-methyl-۲,۳-dihydro-۱H-۳-pyrazolones derivatives are one of the more effective antibiotics against bacteria.
