Abstract:

A series of nanosized N, Fe doped in TiO2 samples were produced under a two- level Placket-Burman Design with the feed fraction of 1 and 3 wt% Fe/ TiO2 , 1 and 2 wt% N/ TiO2 , using sol- gel method. The effect of synthesis temperature (35 and 85 oC ) and calcinations temperature (500 and 600 oC ) were simultaneousely investigated on the resulted materials. The calcination time of all the products was 2 hour. The resulted materilas were characterized by XRD technique to detrmine anatase fraction and mean crystal size. Mean crystal size and anatase purity were quantified as linear functions of the so-called parameters. The statistical analysis showed that 1 wt.% of Fe/TiO2, 2 wt.% of N/TiO2, using synthesis temperature of 35 oC and calcination temperature of 500 oC enhanced the photocatalytic activity of the product more than the other samples under visible light
