Abstract:

Acupuncture is a part of traditional Chinese medicine that has developed greatly in recent yearsIn recent decades of research on acupuncture, they have noticed physiological changes in the brain andperipheral nerves that can explain its effects.These mechanisms include the release of substance P and CGRP, which have anti-inflammatory properties insmall amounts, increasing blood supply to peripheral , inhibition of afferent fibers in the dorsal horn, activationof the inhibitory system of the descending pathways in the spinal cord, changing the activity of the cerebralcortex, changing In vegetative nerve tone, inhibitory effects on spinal glial cells, endocrine -neurotransmittereffects, etc.Acupuncture techniques are very diverse and include body acupuncture, ear acupuncture, scalp acupuncture,Japanese acupuncture, Korean acupuncture, Sujok, electroacupuncture, tang method, ۴ needle , three needle,eye acupuncture and Tane method...Its effect on various acute and chronic pain is being studied and its effect on a number of pain and syndromeshas been proven.Overall, the evidence favors that back pain is reduced by acupuncture, although some evidence favors thatback pain is relieved in as far as three months after acupunctureAcupuncture seems to be effective in osteoarthritis, especially in the knee area, however, studies in this casehave had different results.There are many reports on the effectiveness of acupuncture both to prevent and to control the pain of migrainepatientsThere are many studies on the effect of acupuncture on other pain syndromes , some of which have proventhe effect of acupuncture and others have denied it.
