Abstract:
After primary and secondary oil recovery methods, reservoir is faced to residual oil condition. Surfactants can reduce interfacial tension between rock surface and residual oil. Reservoir fluid contains mixture of some slats which have major effect on surfactants properties. Also salinity of brine in the reservoirs affects surfactant flooding condition. Surfactants can reduce interfacial tension between rock surface and residual oil at enhanced oil recovery. salinity is a affective parameters that affect surfactants behavior in the reservoir in addition to critical micelle concentration (CMC) of them. Purpose of this study is measuring the CMC of Zyziphus Spina Chrisit; this was done by conductivity method. The CMC value of surfactant as a sugar based surfactant was determined by electrical conductivity measurements. Variation of CMC was investigated under different sodium chloride from 200 ppm to 10000 ppm. Results were shown when NaCl concentration rises, the CMC of surfactants decreases slightly
