An Experimental Design Approach for Investigating the Dispersion Effect of Commercial Oil Wax Inhibitors abstract

This article represents a Taguchi experimental design approach to analyze the dispersion effect for some commercial inhibitors on paraffinic oil wax deposits through the turbidity method.Noticeably, we consider various factors such as temperature, heavy paraffin content and inhibitorconcentration which affect waxy oil inhibitors performance. Also, the results reveal that raffinateconcentration and commercial inhibitor type influence oil sample turbidity more than other factors. Moreover, it can be inferred that the severity index of interaction between temperature andinhibitor type far surpasses the other interactions
