Let's Not Forget the User!

The first thing about the dialogue between architecture and structure is that these are two languages, that, on the planetary scale, are spoken by only a small number of people. When people talk about their homes and the buildings they know, they use a different language, the one that everybody speaks, and nobody cares about the prerogatives, the rivalries and the divisions that characterise the separation between two disciplines, disciplines which are in fact very new. Not to mention the language used by the majority who live in a world with no decent housing, no schools, no anything.
