Abstract:
Medicinal plants having very advantages in cancer treatment, such as their natural composition, becausethey are economical, and ability to selectively target cancer cells without harming healthy tissues.Furthermore, some medicinal plants can enhance the immune system and reduce the side effects ofchemotherapy. The extraction methods employed in obtaining desired compounds from medicinal plants forcancer treatments play an important role. There are various modern extraction techniques available,including microwave-assisted extraction, supercritical fluid extraction, ultrasound-assisted extraction,pressurized liquid extraction, solid-phase micro- extraction, and enzyme-assisted extraction. These advancedmethods provide improved efficiency, higher yields, and superior quality extracts, thereby serving asvaluable tools in the development of novel medicinal plant-based products.
