Using Telemedicine to Diagnosis, Treatment, and Management: A global perspective

Finding a healthcare provider available always is often a concern for patients, particularly in developing countries and remote areas. The rapid growth of telecommunications and digital technologies has opened up new opportunities for healthcare to adapt to new models of care using telehealth supported by digital innovations. This interdependent ecosystem offers the potential to develop new models of patient care that address the challenges posed by the COVID-۱۹ pandemic and beyond. Family medicine with its reliance on laboratory tests, pathology reports, and image-based investigations, has found success in utilizing telehealth and AI to overcome the challenges faced by physicians and healthcare providers worldwide.This Study reviews the features, disadvantages, requirements, and benefits of telemedicine, with a specific focus on developing countries and remote populations. It discusses technologies that are increasingly being integrated into clinical workflow and summarizes the digital strategies being developed by various countries. Additionally, it examines the escalating containment and mitigation measures implemented globally during the COVID-۱۹ pandemic. Finally, the study considers the challenges associated with validation and clinical implementation, offering recommendations on future directions.
