Abstract:
This article provides a broad examination of Biophilic Design in Architecture, covering principles, applications and impacts on the built environment. Biophilic design is a concept of incorporating natural features and patterns into construction spaces in order to bring people closer to nature. The review examines the theoretical basis of Biophilic Design, including its origins, fundamental principles and benefits to those living within it, in a comprehensive analysis of current literature. Various strategies and practices used for bio design are also investigated in the paper, e.g. by using natural materials, combining vegetation with light sources or taking advantage of views In recentyears, Architecture has been given a great deal of attention to nature and biophilic design, in particular in response to growing environmental challenges. However, as far as thinking about and addressing nature is concerned, there are still open questions and controversies. I work in the field of practice and research. To discuss biophilic design as a conceptual framework for the interpretation of nature in architecture, this study is conducting a literature review.
