Abstract:

Many species of fish that are bred in captivity have problems in the reproduction process. The reason can be found in the lack of environmental conditions (spawning bed, water flow, water quality, water depth), which does not create appropriate environmental responses for stimulation in fish. Hormone injection is used to stimulate spawning in many species of fish in aquaculture. Oscar) A. Ocellatus (fish is one of the most beautiful species of freshwater aquarium fish. This fish has attracted the attention of many breeders in Iran and around the world. But unfortunately, the percentage of hatching and survival of the larvae of these fish is very low in breeding conditions. For this reason, ۲۵ pairs of fish with an average weight of ۱۰۰±۱۰ gr, which tended to mate with each other, were selected and divided into ۵ groups. In this study, carp pituitary hormone extract with doses (۳ and ۵ mg/kg body weight) and gonadotropin-releasing hormone with doses (۱۰ and ۱۵ μg/kg body weight) together with domperidone as antidopamine in spawning induction Oscar fish was investigated. The effect of the used hormones on the rate of fecundity, hatching percentage and survival was studied. Based on the obtained results, the injection of CPE ۵ mg/kgBW had a significant increase in the number of eggs obtained, the number of surviving larvae after hatching, the percentage of hatching and working fecundity compared to the control group and other groups. Also, GnRHa hormone had a significant decrease in working fecundity, hatch percentage and number of eggs compared to the control group. This research showed that injection of GnRHa in Oscar fish is not effective in artificial reproduction. According to the results obtained in relation with artificial reproduction indices, CPE hormone showed better efficiency than GnRHa for ovulation induction.
