Abstract:

In this ultra-competitive age, the organizations face with an environment with some characteristics such asincrease in complexity, globalization, and getting dynamic. In the knowledge economy, knowledge orintellectual capital as a factor of wealth production is more preferable in comparison with other tangibleand physical capitals. In this economy, intellectual capitals especially human capital are regarded amongthe most important organizational capitals and the potential success of an organization rooted in itsintellectual capabilities. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the components ofintellectual capital, including human capital, structural capital and relational capital with the educationaleffectiveness and they were studied in order to examine their potentials for the use of intellectual capitaland accordingly six research questions have also been raised.The statistical population consisted of two groups of faculty members and students of Islamic AzadUniversity of Arak including ۵۲ faculty members and ۳,۵۰۰ students. Data collection was done by usingtwo questionnaires; first educational effectiveness assessment questionnaire which was developed by theresearcher and second intellectual capital questionnaire by Bontis (۱۹۹۸). Then, they were distributedamong ۲۲۱ students and ۱۱ faculty members in Islamic Azad University of Arak. The sample size wasdetermined through Cochran formula that was used in a definite population. Thus, regarding ۹۵%confidence level and the maximum relative error to ۰.۰۵, the sample size for students was obtained ۲۲۱and for faculty members it was ۱۱. Sampling was done randomly and the results which were obtainedby using correlation, regression and structural equation modeling showed no significant relationshipbetween intellectual capital components together and between these components (except human capital)and educational effectiveness.
