Application of Computerized Taguchi Method (QT4) to Robust Design abstract
The topic of Robust Design has recently attracted a lot of research in engineering design. It is also related to the statistical tools used in TQM. The quality engineering method of Taguchi is one of the most important statistical tools for designing high quality systems at reduced cost. Taguchi method provides an efficient and systematic way to optimize design for performance, quality, and cost. This paper presents an overview of Taguchi Method and demonstrates how to use it for designing a product with minimum cost and time. A voltage divider has been designed using Computerized Taguchi Method (named QT4). This small example demonstrates the capabilities of QT4 for Robust Design.
