Abstract:
Today, many efforts are being made to expand clean power generationsystems considering cost, importance and environmental issues. In thisregard, the use of renewable energy has been the focus of the worldcommunity. One of these desired energies is solar energy due to itsinexhaustibility and availability. In this study the comparison betweentwo low temperature cycles including solar-based ORC cycle and solarbasedKalina cycle is performed. EES software was applied to simulatethe systems. The results showed that by applying the basic assumptions, the amount of the power produced by the solar-based ORC cycle is ۴۲.۲۲kW while it is ۱۶.۵۷ kW for the solar-based Kalina cycle. Energy andexergy efficiencies of the solar-based ORC cycle is ۱۳.۶۱% and ۱۴.۶۵%respectively while this amount is ۱۲.۵۱% and ۸.۶۷% for the solar-basedKalina cycle.
