The analysis of Saadi’s Golestan poems into its English Translation based on Lefevere’s strategies

Due to the conflicts of form and content as well as figurative language, the poetry translation considered as the most difficult, demanding form of translation. The aim of this paper was to analyze the Sa adi’s Gulistan poems into its English translation based on seven strategies of Andre` Lefevere and also to find out the most and the least frequent strategies applied in its translation, Also it aimed at finding out whether the translation had consistency or not, the present study contained several example of original poems with its English translations by Edward Rehatsek. after the process of data analysis, the researchers reached the conclusion that the most applied strategy was literal translation and the last strategy also named, interpretation was used often to expand translator’s writings also he has used phonemic translation strategy, rhymed translation strategy and verse to prose strategy to his translation and at last these several strategies were used by translator caused less consistency to his translations.
