Abstract:
Formation of martensite in metastable austenitic stainless steels dependents on many parameters; one of the most important is temperature: Actually there are two different, Md30/50 and deformation temperatures. In this work relationship between both of them with martensite formation is investigated. Results show for different steels when deformation temperature is subtracted from Md30/50 If this value is equal for each, so they will form nearly equal amount of martensite
