Abstract:
Plants respond to survive under drought stress through a series of molecular processes culminating in stress tolerance. But the complex mechanisms controlling tolerance are still not well understood. The aim of this study was to clarify responsive genes expression through analysis of durum wheat ESTs libraries. All unisequences were assembled to find similarities between libraries using EGassembler and were analyzed by X-blast through CLCbio against a non-redundant protein database. Over ۱۷۰ differentiallyESTs were detected by the IDEG۶ and were divided into ۷ functional categories via GoMapMan. The identified genes such as PLA۲ and AP۲, might be key genes that regulate drought-stress response in wheat and are suggested as promising candidate for further analysis.
