Abstract:

The emergence of multi-drug resistant strains of bacteria is a problem of ever increasingsignificance. Consequently, the development of new antimicrobial agents will remain animportant challenging task for medicinal chemists[۱]. Carbacylamidophosphate compounds withthe formula RC(O)NHP(O)R۱R۲ are one important class of organophosphorus compounds whichhave high antibacterial activities due to the existence of peptide like group –C(O)NHP(O)– intheir skeleton [۲]. In this study, a Phosphoric triamide compound with the formulaNC۵H۴CONHPO(NHC۵H۹)۲ (۱) was synthesized according to the procedure of our previous work[۳] and was confirmed by FTIR and ۳۱PNMR.The antibacterial properties of the compound (۱) was evaluated against Staphylococcusaureus and Escherchia coli bacteria. The inhibition zones measured for the antibacterial activitiesagainst S.aureus and E.coli was ۱۸.۳۶mm and ۱۰.۳۳ mm respectively, which means thiscompound has greater antibacterial effects against the Gram-positive bacteria than the Gramnegativeone.
