Abstract:

The term "economic loss" has been established to refer to such losses that do not have a material origin. In other words, it means damages that are not directly caused by physical injuries or property damage. Such a concept has two types: mere economic loss and subsequent economic loss. Pure economic loss is a loss that affects a person's property without causing damage to other tangible items of property (property or physical). On the other hand, subsequent economic loss always occurs as a result of an initial loss that affects a person's body or property. But in terms of the origin, there is no distinction between these two types. In such a way that both of them can have a contractual or non-contractual origin. Such concepts are new in our laws. However, some similar concepts, such as damages for delay in payment or non-profit, have a history in our legal literature. Therefore, considering the importance of this research, with the aim of analyzing the concept of economic loss and its examples, it has been conducted in the form of a library review study, and the necessary data and information has been conducted by reviewing various books and articles.
