Review of Tank fire incidents from 1951 to 2003

this paper is a subtraction of the report “tank fires – Review of fire incidents 1951 – 2003” SP REPORT 2004:14 . A literature review was conducted to gather information related to the extiguishment of actual tank fires and relevant large – scale fire extunguishong tests. The aim was to search for data that could be used for validation of foam spread . in total , 480 tank fire incidents have been indentified worldwide since the 1950s and the information collected has been compiled into a database. Out of the 480 fire incidents, only abot 30 fires have provided relevant information for model valiadation. The full report may be downloaded from SP website , www.sp.se
