Abstract:

Agile Project Management has brought about a paradigm shift in project development methodologies, especially within the dynamic context of the software industry. This article conducts a thorough comparative analysis of various agile methodologies, including Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Lean-Agile, elucidating their unique characteristics and practical implications in project management. The exploration delves into identified best practices and challenges associated with agile project management, drawing on insights from influential works in the field. A practical dimension is added through the integration of a case study focusing on the implementation of agile methodologies in distributed projects. This real-world scenario provides valuable insights into challenges faced and strategies employed. Additionally, the article explores the efficiency of Scrum, emphasizing its advocacy for achieving accelerated project delivery. Employing a qualitative approach, this research seeks to empower practitioners with a nuanced understanding, enabling them to strategically tailor agile methodologies to the unique requirements of their projects.
