Abstract:
In this paper, the boundary layer flow and heat transfer analysis of a homogeneous, incompressible, non-Newtonian fluid of second grade at stagnation point is presented. The flow is assumed to be steady and laminar and the wall is assumed to have a constant heat flux. The equations of momentum and energy have been expanded using a perturbation technique and solved using an iterative central difference approximation method employing a non-uniform grid domain. The effect of non-Newtonian nature of fluid and the Prandtl number on the temperature at the wall is presented.
