Abstract:
A scale-invariant model of statistical mechanics is applied to construct a theory of turbulent phenomena which is valid for diverse branches of physical sciences, from the extremely large scale of cosmology to the exceedingly small scales of chromodynamics. Four types of turbulence associated with the translational, rotational, gravitational, and internal momenta of the elements of the statistical field are introduced. The relevance of such model to the phenomena of superconductivity and superfluidity at low temperatures is emphasized.
