Abstract:

The present study was conducted with the aim of the effectiveness of compassion-based education on the quality of life and sense of coherence of women seeking divorce. The present study is practical in terms of purpose and semi-experimental in terms of method, in which a pre-test and post-test design was used with an experimental group and a control group. The statistical population of the current research was women applying for divorce referred Women applying for divorce at Hamraz Merand Counseling Center. In order to conduct this research, ۳۰ people who met the criteria for entering the present study were selected from among the referents and randomly replaced in the experimental group and the control group, and each group was replaced by ۱۵ people. Data collection tools were World Health Organization quality of life scale (۱۹۹۶) and Antonovsky sense of coherence questionnaire (۱۹۹۳). Compassion-focused treatment content was implemented for ۸ sessions (۹۰ minutes each session) for the experimental group, and the control group members were placed on the waiting list. Data analysis using the covariance analysis method showed: the approach based on compassion therapy significantly increased the quality of life and sense of coherence of women seeking divorce (P≤۰.۰۱). The results emphasize the importance of the application of compassion-based therapy in improving the quality of life and sense of coherence of women seeking divorce.
