Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to compare the cognitive abilities of Isfahan University students with high depression and low depression. The research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population of this study was all the students of Isfahan University, of which ۳۲ people (۲۵ men, ۷ women) were selected by sampling method were selected and answered the Beck Depression Questionnaire and Cognitive Abilities Questionnaire in this research. The data were analyzed in SPSS software version ۲۴ and using the independent t-test. The results showed that between students with high depression and low depression in the dimensions of inhibitory and control there was no statistically significant difference and also in decision-making and sustained attention. Based on the results of the research, it can be said that these three variables are related to each other.
