Abstract:
The present research is applied in terms of its purpose and is of a correlational descriptive type, which investigates the relationship between paranoid thoughts and self-esteem in students of Hatef University. The statistical population of the current research is the students of Hatef University who were selected by random sampling. The sample size was estimated to be ۱۰۰ people using Cochran's formula. The tool for collecting information was a questionnaire. In this research, Green et al.'s paranoid thoughts scale (GPTS) and Cooper Smith's self-esteem questionnaire were used. According to the results obtained from the research, there was a negative and significant relationship between paranoid thoughts and general, family, social, and academic self-esteem of students, which means that as paranoid thoughts increase, self-esteem decreases and vice versa.
