Abstract:

Drowning remains as an important public health concern, which is one of the main causes of death and disability in operational and high-risk jobs, tasks are performed in situations where an incident can lead to serious injury or even death. Considering the job sensitivity of these people, one of the basic steps to reduce the injuries and injuries caused by the job is to evaluate the performance and rating of the human force. For example, drowning remains as an important public health concern, which is one of the causes. It is mainly death and disability, and rescue from drowning is one of the most stressful jobs and requires high responsibility. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to investigate the debriefing and hope therapy technique on acute stress caused by the high sensitivity of lifeguards. Method: This research was semi-experimental and pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical population of the research included a number of pools in Shiraz, where ۶۰ lifeguards were selected by random sampling and divided into two control and experimental groups were placed. The Stanford Acute Stress Response Test (SASRQ) was used to collect data. The experimental group was trained in hope therapy based on Snyder's hope theory and debriefing technique for ۸ ۹۰-minute sessions (once a week). Subjects' scores. It was analyzed using univariate analysis of covariance. Findings: The findings in the post-test phase showed that receiving hope therapy protocol and debriefing caused a significant difference compared to the control group (P<۰.۰۵). According to the findings, debriefing technique and hope therapy can directly be effective in reducing and treating acute stress caused by high-risk jobs such as lifeguarding. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that debriefing and hope therapy technique can have a favorable and measured effect on all kinds of existing anxiety, caused by natural events or caused by being in high-risk job situations, or reduce it on the way to recovery.
