Effectiveness of Dialectical Behavior Therapy on Identity Crisis and Social Adjustment of Infertile Women

The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of dialectical behavior therapy on identity crisis and social adjustment in infertile women in Shiraz city, using a semi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest design and a control group. The statistical population of this research included infertile women, diagnosed during ۲۰۲۲-۲۰۲۳ in the Infertility treatment clinics of Shiraz. Out of the ۸۹ individuals with low scores in the identity crisis and social adjustment questionnaires, ۴۰ were selected by random cluster sampling. The subjects were randomly assigned to an experimental and a control group (n=۲۰). The two questionnaires of identity crisis (Ahmadi, ۱۹۹۷) and social adjustment (Sinha & Singh, ۱۹۹۳) were used in the pre- and post-intervention, which included eight ۹۰-minute sessions of group dialectical behavior therapy. The data were analyzed using analysis of covariance in SPSS.۲۶ software. The results highlighted the positive and significant effect of dialectical behavior therapy on identity crisis and social adjustment in infertile women.
