Abstract:
The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness of psychological resilience training and meaning therapy on catastrophizing and reducing rumination in mothers of dialysis children. For this purpose, during a semi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design and a control group, ۴۵ mothers who had referred their children to the Peyvand hospital in ۲۰۲۳ for dialysis were randomly selected in three groups of ۱۵ people were replaced .Psychological resilience training during ۱۰ session ۶۰-minute sessions and meaning therapy training during ۱۱ session ۹۰-minute were implemented on the experimental groups. The groups were evaluated at the beginning and after the completion of the research with PCS catastrophizing questionnaire and RRS rumination questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the analysis of covariance method in SPSS-۲۶ software. Covariance results showed that psychological resilience training and meaning therapy have a significant effect on rumination and catastrophizing. Also, meaning therapy has a greater effect on catastrophizing and rumination than resilience training.
