Abstract:

Entering university is an important and very sensitive event in the life of a young person in any country. In this course, one of the most important things that students face is the feeling of homelessness. This study aims to investigate the role of feeling of homelessness and attachment styles with depression in student teachers and teachers of Zahedan. The research method is correlation type and the statistical population included all teachers and student teachers of Farhangian University in the number of ۴۵۲ people, of which ۱۶۲ people were selected by stratified random sampling method. In this research, Van Filt's (۲۰۰۱) homesickness questionnaire, Collins and Reed's (۱۹۹۰) attachment style questionnaire, and Beck's depression questionnaire (۱۹۶۱) were used. The results indicate that except the feeling of homesickness, which is one of the components of the feeling of homelessness, the rest of the components have a positive and significant relationship with depression, and there is a significant and positive relationship between insecure-avoidant and insecure-anxiety (ambivalent) attachment styles with depression. There is a significant and negative relationship between secure attachment style and depression. Also, this research showed that the feeling of homelessness and its components can predict depression in student teachers and teachers.
