Abstract:

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of the communication patterns of the family of origin in the relationship between forgiveness and psychological strength with marital conflict in married women. Method: The present research method is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the current study includes all married women aged ۲۰ to ۳۰ in Mashhad. ۲۲۰ people were selected voluntarily as the research sample. To collect data, Koerner and Fitzpatrick's family communication patterns standard questionnaire(۲۰۰۲), Malt et al.'s forgiveness questionnaire (۱۹۹۸), Clough et al.'s psychological reinforcement questionnaire (۲۰۰۲) and Sanai et al.'s marital conflict questionnaire (۲۰۰۹) were used. Research data were analyzed using correlation and path analysis methods and using Amos and SPSS software. Findings: The findings show that there is a significant relationship between mental strength, communication pattern and marital conflict, but the results show that there is no relationship between forgiveness and any of the research components (p>۰.۰۵). Conclusion: Based on The findings of the present study can be concluded that communication patterns play a role in the relationship between mental strength and marital conflict, but the mediating role of communication patterns is significant in the relationship between forgiveness and marital conflicts.
