Compare the Personality Characteristics of Women with Substance Abuse with Normal People in Zahedan City

The purpose of this research was to compare the personality characteristics of women with substance abuse with normal people in Zahedan city. The design of the current research is a causal-comparative description. The statistical population of this research included all drug abusers referring to addiction treatment centers in Zahedan city, from which ۷۷ drug dependent women were selected as an available and voluntary sample and the same number of normal women without any A history of substance abuse was randomly selected as a comparison group Subjects were selected based on the variables of age, education and marital status. They were evaluated and measured using the Minnesota Multiphasic personality Inventory (MMPI) with standardized form of ۷۱ questions. The results of the data analysis obtained in the t-test of two independent samples to determine the difference in scores between the groups showed that the average scores of addicted women were higher than normal women in the subscales depression, Hypochondriasis, Psychopathic deviation, paranoia, Psych-asthenia, schizophrenia and hypomania except hysteria .
